Whether we know you from the real or online world, we're grateful to you for taking the time to visit our site. This past fall, we completed an original urban fantasy novel, and we're excited to tell you a little about it.
The first book in a sexy, supernatural trilogy set in the year 2039, Four tells the story of tough, ex-soldier Charlotte "Charlie" Hart. Wary from fighting in a second American civil war--and from the strange visions she's endured since the war ended-- Charlie is looking for a reprieve when she gets a letter saying the biological grandma she never knew has died, leaving her an inheritance. However, when Charlie arrives in Four Corners, VA, she discovers that she's inherited a lot more than cash, namely a supernatural birthright that enables her to control the element of Water. United with the other three Powers-- Air, Fire and Earth--Charlie must confront old fears and insecurities if she hopes to stop a supernatural evil bent on destroying humanity and a fragile nation, both still struggling to rebuild. Oh, and in case all of that sounds a little high-falutin', we promise the book also features romance, emotional angsting and a fair bit of humor.
We first met online, through a shared love of Joss Whedon's Firefly, and it seems only appropriate that we return to the online community for help in publishing our first book. We created this page both to document our journey toward publication and to ask for help from you, our family, friends, teachers, devoted readers, fellow writers and fans of good stories.
